The Most Ridiculous Argument for Not Giving Online Dating A Shot
By Joshua Pompey
I hear a lot of absurd reasons for not joining an online dating site.
“It’s not natural”
“I’d rather be set up”
I could go on forever with the ridiculous excuses that people make. But of all the illogical comments I hear, perhaps my personal favorite is:
“I don’t want to pay money to meet women.”
For starters, let’s just pretend that this comment isn’t COMPLETELY absurd and that there are no FREE sites out in existence. Suppose our only option was to actually pay for an online dating site.
Are we really spending MORE money by signing up for a site that costs thirty dollars a month, as opposed to meeting women “the natural way?”
Let’s take a moment to look at the spending patterns of men who don’t online date…
The majority of these men spend week after week, going out to bars trying to meet women, while spending a ton of money on drinks in the process.
What does the average night of drinking cost in a relatively normal city?
Twenty five bucks if you plan on taken it as easy as possible.
Fifty dollars for a good buzz.
Eighty to get drunk.
How about a hundred or more if you are buying a girl drinks as well.
And does any of this guarantee a date or hookup with a female? Truth be told, most men spend ridiculous amounts of money, multiple times a week at bars, and never get anything in return.
On the flip side, thirty dollars for an online dating site enables a guy the potential to hit on as many women as he has time for, all for one low, guaranteed price.
To top it off, many sites such as Match.Com will even come with a money back guarantee to find success.
So you tell me, what’s going to save more money in the long run, hundreds of dollars at bars, or thirty dollars a month for unlimited access to women.
I rest my case!
